Fidelity 403b Plan

After one year of service in which you have worked 1,000 hours, you are eligible for matching funds of $0.50 for each $1 you contribute. You are 100% vested in matching contributions after five years of service, during which you have worked 1,000 hours each year.

Leave

  • Vacation leave is provided. Full-time residents receive 21 days of vacation per calendar year

  • A GME Learner is entitled to nine (9) paid sick days annually upon matriculation, to be used solely for illness significant enough to interfere with the performance of duty

    • Unused sick days may not accrue and they may not be “cashed in”

    • The sick leave bank will be accessible according to policy parameters. Long-term sick leave is accrued and is not paid off at termination

  • Residents have 5 days (40 hours) of CME time each year to be used for conferences and education use. In the graduating year, this leave can be used for interviewing

Insurance

  • Dignity Health offers medical plans with premiums paid in full for residents, and low cost coverage for family.

    These plans include both dental and vision coverage at no additional cost.

  • Dignity Health provides life/accidental death and dismemberment insurance for residents and pays the premium for 1x annual salary for life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance for residents.

    • Additional coverage levels are available with some cost to the resident.

  • Dignity Health provides long-term disability insurance at 60% base pay at no additional cost.

  • Professional liability insurance is provided by Dignity Health to cover residents performing duties within the course and scope of their appointments

  • Residents have the option to enroll in spousal/dependent life insurance at an additional cost
