Medical School: California Northstate University College of MedicineProfessional interests: Emergency Medicine and global health
Hobbies: Basketball, boxing, working out, watching MMA, gardening, movies, history, philosophy, and spending time with family and friends. If you could have any superhero power, what would it be and why? I've always loved history and science fiction, so I'd want to experience history firsthand, watch the world evolve over centuries, and see what the future holds for humanity.
If your life were turned into a movie, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role? Comedy, starring Chris Tucker. Rush Hour is my favorite movie, and I'd want my life to be full of laughter, unforgettable moments, and fun with the people around me. Chris Tucker's energy, quick wit, and comedic timing make him the perfect person to play the role.

If your life were turned into a movie, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role? Probably a comedy drama movie and I’d go with Ali Wong for the lead role
-

Joseph Ghaly, DO

Hobbies: Basketball, Marvel Rivals, spending time with friends and family, trying new foods
If you could have any superhero power, what would it be and why? I wish I could teleport so I could save time on my commute (10 minutes from St. Joe's) and travel anywhere in the world on my days off.
If your life were turned into a movie, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role? If my life were a movie, I would make it a comedy starring Jonah Hill because he is one of my favorite comedic actors. I am also a believer in the old saying, "laughter is the best medicine."
-

Mursal Hassan , DO
Hometown: Chelsea, MA
Undergraduate: Boston College
Medical School: Philadelphia College of Osteopathic MedicineProfessional interests: Global health, SIM, Social EM
Hobbies: Spending time with my daughter, exploring new coffee shops, hiking, taking crisp fall morning walks, traveling, and experimenting with healthier recipesIf you could have any superhero power, what would it be and why? The ability to clone myself! One version could be in the ED, one could be studying for boards, one could be at daycare pickup, and one could finally answer all the texts I've ignored for three weeks.
If your life were turned into a movie, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role? A medical version of The office, starring Mindy Kaling. Lots of awkward moments, coffee, learning on the fly, and wondering if everyone else knows what's going on more than I do.
-

Michael Juma, MD
Hometown: Ukwala, Kenya
Undergraduate: UC Berkeley
Medical School: UC Davis School of MedicineProfessional interests: critical care and global health.
Hobbies: running, biking, hiking, cooking, soccer (Arsenal fan), woodworking, gardening (anything I can eat), feeding rock pigeons, watching movies (I love John Grisham's movies and 12 Angry Men), comedy (some dark sense of humor).
If you could have any superhero power, what would it be and why? I would choose probability manipulation: the ability to tilt the odds ever so slightly in my favor. Not enough to break the rules of the universe, but enough for the parking spot to open, the light to turn green, every coin toss to land the way I need it, or for me to happen to be in the right place at the right time. Life would still be unpredictable, but I'd just get a little statistical nudge when it counts and still earn my successes
If your life were turned into a movie, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role? I'd want it to be a legal thriller in the style of a John Grisham story. The plot would keep people guessing—with high stakes, unexpected twists, clever dialogue, and a protagonist who constantly solves problems under pressure while trying to do the right thing. It wouldn't just be about winning but about navigating difficult choices when every option has consequences. I'd have Michael B. Jordan to play the lead. He has the calm confidence and understated intensity that fit that kind of story perfectly.

If you could have any superhero power, what would it be and why? Perfect memory! I’d never forget a patient’s name or medication dose, or just where I parked my car. Plus, I would have a lifetime supply of useless random facts to share.
If your life were turned into a movie, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role? Action/comedy and I want Scarlett Johansson to play the lead even if she looks nothing like me. She can make my life look way cooler than it actually is.
-

Medical School: Loyola University Chicago SSOMProfessional interests: Event Medicine, Critical Care, Disaster Medicine
Hobbies: Raves, Basketball, Tennis, Fantasy Football, Playing Counter-Strike, Hiking, Skiing, Exploring new placesIf you could have any superhero power, what would it be and why? My superhero power would be time travel so I could relive the best moments of life, skip the awkward ones, and finally find out whether dinosaurs were actually as cool as we all imagine.
If your life were turned into a movie, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role? If my life was a movie, it would be equal parts adventure, comedy, and drama because it somehow always includes a little chaos, a lot of last-minute plot twists, and just enough heartfelt moments to keep things interesting. I’d want Simu Liu to play the lead role because he has the right mix of charisma, humor, and “I can handle this” energy that I’d like to think I bring too. Also, I got to meet him at dinner one random night!
