Born and raised in the Midwest, I have had the opportunity to live and train on both coasts and have called the San Francisco Bay Area home since 2018. I completed my residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. I then returned to California to complete a Wilderness Medicine fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine, where i further developed my interests in wilderness research, medical education, and race medicine.

My academic interests include women’s heath, cardiovascular care, environmental effects on health, altitude medicine, diving medicine and race medicine.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my partner and daughters. You can often find me camping, backpacking, kayaking, trail running, skiing, or discovering new corns of this beautiful state to explore.
